What’s the Sandy Sauté? It’s Hermosa’s annual 2-mile beach run — part race, part local tradition. Runners and walkers hit the sand just north of the Pier, go one mile out, one mile back, and finish with a cold drink and sandy shoes. It’s pure Hermosa: sun, sand, and fancy dress, of course!

🏃‍♀️ The 7th Annual Beach Run — “The Sandy Sauté” Returns!

This 2-mile run takes place on the sand just north of the Hermosa Beach Pier, heading one mile north before looping back to the finish line.
All runners and walkers start at 2:00 pm. After the race, join the group for happy hour at one of the Pier’s restaurants.

Awards: The top three male and female finishers will receive prize packages featuring items from Lululemon, Vuori, Rainbow Sandals, Good, and more.

Fancy dress is highly encouraged—win a prize!

Sip, chat, and share your thoughts with Mayor David Lesser during a casual community coffee at Metlox Plaza.
