Only a week to go til one of the South Bay’s most celebrated events: the 2025 International Surf Festival (+ the 6-Man). In the meantime - plenty of fun to be had, including ABBA, Santana, Garth Brooks, and Taylor Swift tribute summer concerts.

🏄‍♂️ International Surf Festival @ four South Bay beach cities

A big heads up: NEXT weekend marks the 62nd annual International Surf Festival, the beloved onshore-offshore celebratory sporting/fitness extravaganza!
The event promotes four South Bay beach cities of Torrance, MB, HB, & RB.
Thousands participate, and over 50,000 people attend. The costumes are outrageous and hilarious - it’s an absolute must-see South Bay summer beach bash. Don’t miss:

  • Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay (8/1, 7pm: Hermosa Pier)

  • Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim (8/3, 9am: HB to MB)

  • Charlie Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament (8/1-2, 9-5pm: MB Pier)

Other events include the surfing championships, the 2-mile beach run, paddleboard and dory races, and youth activities (including the Jr. 6-Man). Event Schedule Here.

The 2025 Annual Community Exhibition at the Manhattan Beach Art Center brings together work from 115 local artists, capturing the spirit and creativity of the city. From painting and sculpture to photography, ceramics, and mixed media, the show reflects the many ways people see and shape life in Manhattan Beach. It’s a lively mix of perspectives—from first-time exhibitors to longtime pros—all adding color and character to the community.
