It’s one of the most popular summer weekends in the South Bay - the International Surf Festival, including the 6-Man volleyball and many other celebrated sand & surf events. Join 50,000 other revelers, don your favorite costume, and have a wonderful weekend!

Charlie Saikley, known as the "Godfather of Beach Volleyball," founded the legendary Manhattan Beach 6-Man Volleyball Tournament over 50 years ago. Don’t miss all the action all day Friday and Saturday at MB Pier! (+6-Man Jr)

🏄 International Surf Festival @ South Bay beaches
August 1-3, Fri - Sun | various times

It’s the 62nd annual International Surf Festival this weekend!
Thousands participate, and over 50,000 people attend. The vibe is off the hook, the costumes are outrageous - it’s an absolute must-see South Bay summer beach bash.

Summer Surf Off (8/1, 6:45am: MB)
Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim (8/3, 9am: HB to MB)
Charlie Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament (8/1-2, 9-5pm: MB Pier)

Other events include the surfing championships, the 2-mile beach run, paddleboard and dory races, and youth activities (including the Jr. 6-Man). Event Schedule Here.

🌞 Summer Sidewalk Sale @ HB
August 2-3, Sat - Sun | 10:00 AM

The Hermosa Beach Summer Sidewalk Sale is back with 30+ small shops, local restaurants, pop-up vendors from ShopFest Collective, and live music outside Java Man, including Nico Gonzalez, Michael Gourzis, and Hayden Sandefur. Come shop, sit, snack, and stroll all weekend long.

🎉 National Night Out @ South Bay cities
August 5, Tuesday | various times

National Night Out is a community-focused event hosted by local police departments across the South Bay, bringing neighbors together with demonstrations, games, back-to-school giveaways, music, food trucks, fire trucks, and family fun.

RB (next week, 8/9, 3pm @ Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center)
El Segundo (8/5, 5pm @ 300 block of Main Street, El Segundo) superhero capes for the first 200 kids—plus the incredible Warrior Princess!

Gardena (8/5, 6pm @ City Hall Complex, Gardena)
