The Hermosa Beach Open, Movies at the Beach & Summer Concert Series kicks off

Hermosa Beach dials it up a notch this weekend with the HB Open Volleyball, Movies at the Beach, and the always fantastic HB Concert Series. Get those blankets out and picnics ready!

🎶 2025 Hermosa Beach Concert Series: Ozomatli @ South of the Pier, HB

The Hermosa Beach Concert Series returns this weekend (for two Sundays), with free shows south of the pier. This year’s lineup features Ozomatli, Triple Bueno, and Joker’s Hand, followed next weekend by Rumours, Cobra Cowboy, and The Spinouts.

September 4-7, Thurs-Sun | All Day

Another big beach volleyball event to enjoy this weekend: The Hermosa Beach Open returns to the courts of HB, showcasing top-notch talent in both women’s and men’s volleyball. Qualifiers are Thursday (today!) and the Main Draw is Friday through Sunday with a total of 64 teams (32W/32M). View the teams here.

Here we go again! This weekend it’s Lilo and Stitch - next weekend it’s Mamma Mia! The screening takes place south of the Hermosa pier.

This year’s theme is “Riding for a Brighter Future”. Enjoy amazing horsemanship, along with food booths, boutiques, and children’s activities, including face-painting, magic, and animal shows. Giddy up!
Hosted by the Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital (since 1957), proceeds support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles programs in pulmonology and ophthalmology.
